Activities: Golf at Bermuda Dunes Country Club is one of the finest golfing experiences that California has to offer. Having the longest running involvement in a major tournament, Bermuda Dunes has been involved in the Bob Hope Chrysler Classic since it began in 1960. It has been home to world renowned celebrities such as Clark Gable and Arnold Palmer, who have both lived in the Bermuda Dunes community. Heart stopping tournament play by PRO golfers include Arnold Palmer, Jack Nicklaus, Johnny Miller, Corey Pavin, John Cook, Phil Mickelson and scores of others. 
The "Traditional" style course has been played by celebrities and professionals from around the world and is the ideal club of membership for the avid golfer. The friendly staff at Bermuda Dunes has perfected the art of member and guest services through its many years of experience. Bermuda Dunes offers 27 holes of tournament quality golf. The course is generous in size with homes well off the fairway slopes. All three nines tee off with the same tee times, effectively giving us three 18 hole courses. The course opened in 1959 and was designed by world-renowned designer Billy Bell. Other notable Bell designs include Torrey Pines, Bakersfield and Newport Beach, Bel-Air, Riviera and Los Angeles country clubs, La Jolla Country Club, both courses at Brookside Golf Club in Pasadena, and the San Diego Country Club. The course is open to play 11 months out of the year while closing in October for Rye Grass over seeding. Tee Times Tee times are reserved using a draw system. Members have until 2 days prior to request a time. Priority is given to members 'first, and then to members who have invited guests. Members enjoy playing within 30 minutes of their request without any phone call competition. |
